When we were small we may not have known the word insecure, because as children we did not think about wanting to be like other people. When we were little, life felt very simple and we did not know the word overthinking either. As we grow into adults, the feeling of insecurity begins to appear within a person. Insecure is a mental condition that makes a person feel “unsafe”.

People who are insecure usually lack self-confidence and always compare themselves with others. Some feel insecure because their body shape is not like other people's, which affects their self-confidence. Some feel insecure about their own abilities and always compare themselves with other people's achievements. Those who feel insecure about their abilities surely also doubt the future they will go through. Insecurity exists in everyone, because everyone has insecurity in one form or another.

Sometimes the feeling of insecurity comes from ourselves, from our being unable to make peace with ourselves and always looking at others as our guide in arranging our lives. Yet we do not live to fulfil other people's wishes or expectations of us. But insecurity is not limited to not yet accepting or being ungrateful for what we have. Sometimes, when we already feel at peace or full of self-love, something always comes along that brings the insecurity back to us. There are even people who feel insecure because of unpleasant words coming from the mouths of those closest to us.

Insecurity will always come and go in our lives. So, to reduce insecurity we must change our way of thinking so that we do not always take other people as our guide. Because everyone has a different process in their life. In truth no human is perfect, and we need not keep thinking about the words of people who make us insecure. Reducing insecurity does take effort, process, and time that is not instant.

Because insecurity will keep existing in every human, and when we feel insecure about others we must remember that “there are people who feel insecure about you, wishing they were in your position right now.” And if you feel insecure about the people on your social media, you have the right to delete or temporarily deactivate your social media. Because if you keep feeling insecure it will affect your mental health, may add to your worries and cause stress, and may also make you overthink. So, let us love ourselves, make peace with ourselves, and not need to be like other people.

Remember that every human has a different process in achieving success. If you keep following what other people say, it will never end, because there will always be something to comment on. Yet we as humans each have our own strengths and weaknesses. And everyone has their own time and season.

Stop comparing yourself with others, and focus on making peace by changing an excessive way of thinking. Be grateful and try to make yourself the best for us, not for other people. We must have high self-confidence. Change the word insecure into grateful.
