Identifying Teacher Professionalism
A professional teacher, in carrying out their duties, is not only a teacher within the school but also a teacher outside the school. A teacher is called professional when they can master four competencies, namely pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence. Not only that, in carrying out their duties teachers must apply the teachers' code of ethics as a guideline in performing their profession as instructors and educators, considering that teaching is now established as a profession, not merely as an educational workforce.
