Chemistry Education 2019 Breaking-the-Fast Gathering

Marhaban Ya Ramadhan

Hello Chemists of UIN Sunan Kalijaga :). How is Ramadhan this year??? For the 2018 cohort students living away from home, this may be the first time Ramadhan is not spent with family, and for the single folks, this may be yet another Ramadhan without a partner, huh. But don’t worry, because those things have been solved with the best solution.

So what is the best solution??? Well, the spiritual division of HM-PS Chemistry Education has provided a space for those who feel alone this Ramadhan so that they can stay motivated in fasting this year. That space and solution was the Buka Bersama (communal iftar) event held on Friday, 17 May 2019 at Resto Goeboeg Bamboe. The Buka Bersama event was attended by all the students, alumni, and lecturers of Chemistry Education UIN Sunan Kalijaga, so it was perfect for anyone feeling lonely and unsure who to break the fast with.

At this event there was also a spiritual talk delivered by a student representative, as well as welcoming remarks and a group photo. It definitely strongly supports strengthening the family bonds of the whole Chemistry Education community, and of course adds religious knowledge too. Speaking of iftar gatherings, we can’t leave out the menu, and at this iftar the menu was quite luxurious by boarding-house student standards, wasn’t it. There was rice with crispy fried chicken, sambal, fresh vegetables, iced tea, and fruit ice. Awesome, right??.

For those who did not get the chance to join this iftar gathering, we hope next year you can join in making sweet Ramadhan memories together. Thank you to Pak Agus and Bu Atina for kindly attending this event, and thank you also to the fellow Chemistry Education students who participated. With the end of this iftar gathering, we all hope the family bonds among the Chemistry Education UIN Sunan Kalijaga community will grow even closer.

See you and Happy Fasting.:D
