TEACHING CLUB AND QUESTION BANK FOR PKIM UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA STUDENTS
Students' understanding of course material is something that needs attention to keep learning running smoothly. To support the development of a thorough understanding, students greatly need sources of material and discussion. Based on this background, HM-PS Pendidikan Kimia (the Chemistry Education Study Programme Student Association), through its Department of Education and Development, formulated several work programmes (proker) that are expected to help the learning process of Chemistry Education (PKIM) students. These programmes take the form of the Teaching Club Activity and the Provision of a Question Bank.
The Teaching Club activity, which is usually held face to face in lecture rooms, now has to adapt to the conditions and situation of the world, which require almost all activities to be held online. This year, the Teaching Club appears with a slightly different flow of activities. This year's Teaching Club began with a Chemistry Material Summary Contest with prizes and the Provision of Learning Materials such as modules, e-books, and others. Both activities aim to increase the interest of Chemistry Education students so that they love, understand, and are enthusiastic about learning chemistry material. As the title of the activity suggests, the Chemistry Material Summary offers prizes as a reward for participants who take part in this activity well and with enthusiasm. Besides summarising material, another activity carried out is the provision of materials as well as a question bank for Chemistry Education students.
The provision of materials and the question bank aims to foster students' enthusiasm for learning through the additional questions and materials they can use. This provision is usually carried out in the lead-up to the Midterm Examination and the Final Examination. The materials are provided through Google Form, while the Question Bank is provided by using the PKIM website as a platform for the questions provided. Therefore, with the work programmes of providing materials, material summaries, and the question bank, Chemistry Education students are expected to be more enthusiastic in developing their potential and knowledge of chemistry material in order to create an excellent and learned generation.
